Edinburgh’s Most Unique Afternoon Tea

The majestic city of Edinburgh – there is so much to see and do that it is hard to know where to start. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed by the amount of choice and how to pack it all into one visit.

Instead of spending a couple of hours out for lunch and a couple of hours on a tour of the city, why not combine both and give yourself more time to squeeze in more activities. How is that possible you may ask? Well, on the Red Bus Bistro we can make it happen.

Join us aboard our beautifully restored 1966 Routemaster bus for our quintessentially British Afternoon Tea. This is an experience like no other in Edinburgh and, for the time being, is one of the city’s best-kept secrets.

As you step on the bus you will be greeted by one of our friendly hosts and shown to your seat where your afternoon tea will be sitting waiting for you, alongside a celebratory glass of Prosecco – we believe that every tour is a special occasion aboard our bus!

As the bus takes off, get ready to tuck into the tasty treats we have prepared for you in our onboard kitchen. On your cake stand you will find traditional scones with fresh whipped cream and jam, a selection of finger sandwiches, Scottish smoked salmon blinis, mini quiches, a selection of petit fours, mini Victoria sponges and meringues all washed down with as much tea and coffee as you can drink.

As you enjoy your food and drink, the bus will tour around all the sights that make Edinburgh so iconic. The Red Bus Bistro is the only eating establishment where every table has a fantastic view that is always changing. The sights you can look forward to seeing include the Scott Monument, Edinburgh Castle, The Meadows, Grassmarket, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament.

Whilst you take in the sights our staff will be on hand to serve you anything you fancy from our fully licensed bar. We have a selection of wines, beers, spirits and our signature gin cocktails on offer as well as soft drinks and water.

The tour takes approximately 90 minutes at picks you up and drops you back off again on Waterloo Place, central Edinburgh. This package costs Β£35 per person (Β£15 for children). We currently run tours on Wednesday – Sunday.Β  Book today on redbusbistro.co.uk or call our bookings team on 01355 229 448.
